Day 2 -
Journey to Balestrand
Today we begin an inspiring trip from Bergen to Balestrand, via Flåm. Our fjords escorted tour takes us through breathtaking scenery governing the route through Dale, Voss and the Stalheim Canyon to Flåm where we embark the train to Myrdal. Following this fabulous journey you can enjoy a cruise along Aurlands and Næroyfjords where colossal vertical cliffs and native wildlife dominate the expansive waters. Make the most of today’s free time to discover the delightful town of Balestrand. There are two galleries, a local museum and an interesting aquarium that houses indigenous marine life for you to visit. If you prefer to spend your time outdoors admiring the striking scenery, there are several great activities to participate in. Hiking, cycling and rowing are popular pastimes and they are great ways of seeing fantastic views of the fjords and the unusual architecture that adorns the countryside, such as the historic St Olaf’s wooden chapel.

Day 4 -
Geiranger
The fjords escorted tour begins today with a tranquil journey below Europe’s largest glacier, the mighty Jostedal Glacier, as we head towards Skei. After the descent to Nordfjord you can take a ride in an open car to capture unparalleled views of the prominent Briksdal Glacier. The fjords escorted tour continues down through the Gudbrands Valley via Lake Vågå to Lillehammer which hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. Relish in a light lunch ahead of your journey along the shore of Lake Mjøsa which is the largest lake in Norway and is embraced by towering mountains.
