Day 1 - Fly to Bergen
Fly to Bergen

Once you have arrived in Bergen collect your hire car and spend the first night of your self drive through Norway by car at the Rica Hotel. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and has many places of interest. Amble through Bryggen’s charming and colourful Hanseatic Wharf, taste the delicious fresh produce at the local fish market or ride the funicular up Mount Fløyen for unbeatable views of the surrounding fjords and mountains.

Day 2 - Instefjord
Instefjord

Today you will begin your journey through Norway by car. Depart Bergen and travel northwards to Instefjord which lies close to the stunning Sognefjord, Norway’s longest fjord which features on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Enjoy an overnight stay at the magnificent Brekkestranda Fjord Hotel which offers pure tranquility among picturesque scenery.

Day 3 - Journey to Balestrand

Continue your holiday through Norway by car as you drive towards the charming village of Balestrand. Marvel at the immensity of Sognefjord as you cross its emerald waters. Today you will reach the charming town of Olden which can be found only several miles from the extraordinary Briksdalsbreen Glacier. The glacier is part of Jostedalsbreen National Park and is a wonderful place to visit when seeing Norway by car. Olden nestles among a pretty valley and fertile countryside and is home to two churches and quaint shops. Day 6 - Arrive in Stranda

Days 7 to 8 - Art Nouveau Ålesund

Ålesund is one of the most incredible towns you will visit on your tour through Norway by car. Most famous for its prominent Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund is bursting with fascinating sights. Two nights at the Radisson Blu Hotel gives you the freedom to explore at leisure and really make the most of your time here. Guided sightseeing tours of the town can be booked for an intriguing journey through the town’s history. On your holiday to Norway by car you can discover more about the Art Nouveau architecture at the Jugendstilsenteret Centre or walk around the harbour at Brosundet. Days 10 to 11 - Lillehammer

Days 12 to 14 - Oslo
