Day 1 -
Arrive in Delhi
Arriving at Delhi airport, your tour guide will greet you before you are taken to your hotel where you will spend the first two nights of your Indian holiday. Take the opportunity to explore your surroundings and get a taste for the delicious local cuisine.
Day 2 -
Sightseeing in Delhi
Spend the first morning of your Indian holiday on a guided tour of the most celebrated sights in Old Delhi, a place that is said to be one of the oldest existing cities in the world. Visit the largest mosque in Asia and Mahatma Ghandi’s memorial site on your Indian holiday before heading on to New Delhi where you will see the spectacular 13th century tower of Qutub Minar among other impressive highlights.

Day 3 -
Travel to Jaipur
This morning your indian holiday will take you on a five hour drive from Delhi to Jaipur, giving you chance to see some of the country’s fine scenery. On arrival spend the rest of the day on your Indian holiday exploring Jaipur, which is often referred to as the ‘Pink City’ due to the colour of its buildings that were historically painted pink in honour of a British royal visit. Here you will discover some of India’s best bazaars and it is the perfect opportunity to pick up some souvenirs.

Day 4 -
Sightseeing in Jaipur
Spend the whole of day four on your Indian holiday absorbing the history and culture of this beautiful city. Browse the fine art displayed in the City Palace Museum and visit the collection of astronomical instruments at Jaipur Observatory before heading to the monumental Amber Fort and the famous Palace of the Winds. There may even be the opportunity to take a ride on an elephant during your Indian holiday.

Day 5 -
Travel to Agra
Your Indian holiday continues with an eye-opening journey by road to Agra, including a stop along the way at the beautifully preserved city of Fatehpur Sikri. Built in red coloured sandstone, this city boasts some fine Mughal architecture and is the perfect place to stretch your legs and enjoy some refreshments during your journey.

Day 6 -
The Taj Mahal
Perhaps the highlight of all Indian holidays - day six of your journey takes you to the world famous Taj Mahal. Incredibly beautiful, elegant and awe-inspiring, words can barely describe this exquisite architectural wonder. As well as this, you will also get the chance to spend some time exploring Agra with a visit to the marble tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah and the Agra Fort on your Indian holiday.

Day 7 -
Journey to Khajuraho
Today you have the opportunity to see some of India’s countryside by rail. The express train takes you on a two and a half hour journey to Jhansi where you will continue to Khajuraho by road. Along the way your Indian holiday calls at the town of Orcha where you can spend some time exploring the wonderful 16th century palaces and temples.

Day 8 -
Khajuraho to Varanasi
This morning, enjoy a tour of over 20 stunning temples at Khajuraho and learn about them from an expert local guide. Following lunch, your Indian holiday continues with a short flight to Varanessi where you can visit the important Buddhist sites of Sarnath and Damekh Stupa, believed to be the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Tonight on your Indian holiday there is an amazing opportunity to witness a fascinating holy ceremony by the River Ganges.

Day 9 -
Explore Varanasi
On day nine of your Indian holiday, take an early morning boat ride along the sacred River Ganges where you can witness the locals carrying out holy rituals on the riverbanks. Day 10 -
Return to Delhi
This morning on your Indian holiday there is time to explore Varanasi further before taking a flight back to Delhi in the afternoon. Take advantage of your free time in Delhi and visit some of the countless museums and monuments and perhaps do some last minute shopping at the popular markets.

Depart Delhi
