Canoeing

Basic tuition and lifejackets are provided at the start of the activity and there is a break halfway through to enjoy coffee and snacks. Admire the stunning views of the fells with birds flying overhead as you paddle across peaceful waters.

Riverboat Trip

Leave the effort to somebody else as you enjoy a leisurely guided cruise along the river, giving you time to gaze at the scenery and watch for some of Lapland’s wildlife. The boat slowly makes its way to Akamella, an ancient burial ground on the Swedish bank of the river before returning to the hotel.

Arctic Sled Dog Centre

Spend a morning or afternoon of your Finland summer family holiday taking a tour of the kennels where over 400 adorable husky dogs are kept. Learn about their history and importance to the local peoples’ way of life and discover how they are trained to pull sleds and follow orders.
